Quantum Companies in Asia-Pacific by Funding
The Asia-Pacific quantum ecosystem spans Australian silicon-spin and diamond platforms, Singapore software and satellite QKD, Indian quantum-safe cryptography and Japanese quantum chemistry software. This page ranks Asia-Pacific quantum companies by total disclosed funding.

How to read this ranking
The Asia-Pacific cohort spans Australian silicon-spin and diamond hardware, Singaporean quantum software and satellite QKD, and Japanese quantum chemistry software. We track 9 companies with about $320M of disclosed financing. It is the region where our coverage is most visibly incomplete, and we would rather say that than imply a complete market map.
Three very different ecosystems
Australia's strength is in hardware platforms tied to university fabrication facilities. Singapore's is in software, networking and quantum-safe security. Japan's appears in materials and chemistry simulation work, often inside larger corporate research groups. Treating these as one market produces a ranking that is geographically tidy and analytically weak.
The company descriptions therefore carry more weight on this page than the ordering. Use the sub-technology labels to split the cohort before drawing a conclusion about regional investment.
Silicon, diamond and the manufacturing bet
Silicon-spin and diamond NV-centre approaches promise compatibility with existing semiconductor or room-temperature deployment paths. That promise is precisely why the associated rounds are framed as manufacturing bets: the capital pays for fabrication access, packaging and control electronics rather than for a single headline qubit count.
These are also the companies most likely to be funded through mixed private and public research programmes, which are rarely disclosed as clean financing rounds. A conservative total here should be read as a floor.
Listings as a financing route
Some Asia-Pacific companies have pursued SPAC or overseas listings to access deeper capital pools. An announced merger with an implied valuation is not the same as cash raised, so we record the valuation separately and leave the financing amount undisclosed unless a transaction value was reported.
This matters because a valuation headline is often syndicated widely. Our event rewrite explicitly says what the announcement did and did not include, so the timeline does not accumulate near-identical claims.
Where the data is thinnest
Corporate R&D, university spin-outs with no announcement, and government-backed programmes in the region are systematically under-represented. We mark automatically discovered items as pending verification, keep a corrections log, and publish the raw datasets under an open licence so gaps can be reported and fixed with a source.
What the numbers on this page actually show
Of the 9 companies on this list, 9 have a disclosed cumulative figure and 0 do not. The median disclosed total is $25M; the three largest rows (Q-CTRL, Silicon Quantum Computing, Horizon Quantum Computing) account for roughly 73% of all capital tracked here, led by Q-CTRL. That concentration is a property of capital-intensive hardware, not a verdict on which technology works best.
Every figure is a lower bound. Undisclosed rounds, partially disclosed RMB amounts, grants bundled into a financing package and public-market programmes drawn down over months all move the same row in different directions. We publish the underlying JSON so you can recompute the table under your own rules; the ranking rule itself is documented on the methodology page, and the reasoning behind editorial choices is on the editorial policy page.
